Useful Resources for Educators

We have selected a wide range of easy to use links and resources, from across the Creative Connections European partner countries, to support you in teaching citizenship through art.  These include websites that might help you to research your own topic, links to galleries where you can find art images to stimulate discussion and artwork, and a list of useful reading and magazines. We hope that these will aid you in developing your own personalised projects, which are inspired by Creative Connections.

It is a rich repository of visual material and images, a valuable source for teachers seeking art material pertaining to various European cultures and traditions

UK

  • Contemporary Art Society encourages an appreciation and understanding of contemporary art by a wide audience, and donates works by important and new artists to museums and public galleries across the UK.

FINLAND

  • Ateneum Art Museum is the national gallery of Finland. Its purpose is to care for, build up, study and present the most important art collection in Finland. Through its exhibitions and other activities, Ateneum promotes knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts and our cultural heritage.

  • The Sámi Museum Siida is the national museum of the Sámi and a national special museum in Finland.
